Clothes

The appropriate style of clothing was different for girls, for women of marriageable or childbearing age, and for elderly women. It depended on your age, body type, and situation. There was normally a series of clothing stages over a lifetime. For example, motherhood was reflected in the style and shape of clothing and in the amount of decoration. More richly decorated than those for men, women's clothing was well suited to Igloolik's harsh climate and living conditions.
